Luv2meetU was set up in 2007 by Hft, a national charity that supports people with learning disabilities to live their lives the way they choose.
Luv2meetU was originally run in partnership between Hft and Dimensions UK as a pilot project in the Leeds/Wakefield areas.
We used to be called 'Stars in the Sky Yorkshire' with an aim to become a social enterprise that is run and managed by people with learning disabilities. With this in mind we became a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) in October 2010 and at the same time changed our name to Luv2meetU.
The new name was chosen by Luv2meetU's members.
